Unit 9 : Natural disasters
Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to distingguish between defining Relative clauses and non – defining Relative clauses.

c.Which animal has one or two horns on its snout? (Những động vật nào có một hoặc hai cái sừng trên mõm của nó)
=> The animal which has one or two horns on its snout is rhinoceros.
d.Which explorer discovered America? (Nhà thám hiểm nào phát hiện ra châu Mỹ)
=> The explorer who discovered America was Columbus Christopher.
e.Which planet is closest to the Earth? (Những hành tinh nào gần nhất với trái đất?)
=> The planet which is closest to the Earth is Mars.
f.Which animal in Vietnam was chosen to be the logo of SEA Games 2003? (Con vật nào được chọn làm linh vật Seagame 2003?)
=> The animal in Vietnam, which was chosen to be the logo of SEA Games 2003, is the buffalo.
g.Which ASEAN country is divided into two regions by the sea? (Đất nước nào ở Đông Nam Á bị chia cắt bởi đại dương?)
=> The ASEAN country which is divided into two regions by the sea is Malaysia.
h.Which food you can chew but you can not swallow and which one you can swallow but you can not chew? (Những thực phẩm nào bạn có thể nhai nhưng bạn không thể nuốt và cái nào bạn có thể nuốt nhưng bạn không thể nhai?)
=> The food which you can chew but you can not swallow is chewing gums and the thing which you can swallow but you can not chew is water.
Bài 2. Match each of the sentences in column A with a related sentence in column B. Then use a suitable relative pronoun to join the two sentences. (Ghép câu ở cột A với câu liên quan ở cột B. Sau đó sử dụng các đại từ quan hệ để nối hai câu đó.)
1. Andrew is flying to Sacramento.

7 – b The October 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, which measured 7.1 on the Richter scale, caused extensive damage to older buildings in San Francisco Bay Area.
Bài 3. Underline the relative clause in the sentence. Then add commas to separate the non-defining relative clause from the rest of the sentence. (Gạch chân mệnh đề quan hệ trong các câu. Sau đó thêm dấu phảy để ngăn cách mệnh đề quan hệ không xác định với phần còn lại của câu.)
